Without a second thought, I prefer the book which it isn't overrated at all, but I find the movie quite good. Actually, I watched the movie first and the book came later. I'm always referring to the film released in 1984 and not the older one.

Not many. I have read Nineteen Eighty Four in English language, The Golden Notebook by Doris Lessing, Casino Royale by Ian Fleming and Harry Potter in greek translations. I had read small parts of some of the other books when I was studing translation. I watched a few of the film adaptations too. 1984 is a great one.
